JOB PURPOSE
Support metallurgical operations through the systematic application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and advanced statistical analysis of both historical and real-time operational data from the Processing Plant, in order to understand, monitor, and explain process behavior.
This role transforms available data into reliable and actionable technical information that enables the identification of trends, variability, deviations, and special causes, contributing to operational stability, process optimization, efficiency, and sustained improvement in plant performance.
FUNTIONS

Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to critical variables within metallurgical operations.

Analyze historical and real-time operational data to characterize process behavior, variability, and stability.

Develop, maintain, and update statistical performance and process control indicators.

Identify trends, variability patterns, deviations, and special causes impacting operational efficiency and stability.

Prepare technical reports, statistical analyses, and data visualizations to support operational decision-making.

Provide statistical support for operational trials, process changes, and optimization initiatives.

Standardize methodologies, analysis criteria, and statistical monitoring approaches for metallurgical processes.

Maintain, structure, and ensure traceability of operational databases to support recurring analyses and technical studies.
EDUCATION
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
2–3 years of experience
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis and data analysis applied to processes.

Experience in industrial or production environments is desirable but not mandatory.
KNOWLEDGE
- Intermediate level of English.
- Strong knowledge of applied statistics and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret operational data from industrial processes.
- Proficiency in statistical software for process analysis (Minitab, R, or Python).
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and management of operational databases.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
