ROLE PURPOSE:
Process the company's payroll, reviewing the accuracy of the calculations made for the cancellation of income, deductions, and provisions to ensure their correct preparation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute all payroll processes related to: Social Security Institute (IESS), taxes, reserve funds, overtime, vacation time, sick leave, loans, advances, provisions, etc.
Review the information entered by the Human Resources Assistants in the Campamento from the staff attendance records submitted by the supervisors of each area to verify any new information included in the payroll.
Generate monthly calculations for the general payroll.
Execute the formal hiring process for new staff: contract preparation, affiliation with the Social Security Institute (IESS), registration with the Ministry of Labor, and entry into the internal human resources system.
Execute the employment termination process: calculating the severance pay, registering the information with the Ministry of Labor, paying the severance pay, legalizing the termination certificate, and recording the costs associated with this process.
Generate the bank file and verify the inclusion of the correct information.
Prepare all accounting reports requested by the finance department: accounting entries, income tax bases, balance reconciliations, and IESS payment vouchers.
Perform calculations and prepare the documents required for the payment of profit sharing, social benefits, taxes, and other obligations to government oversight entities, as established in the Labor Code, the Tax Law, and the Social Security Law.
Process and prepare documents required by the department related to payroll values: employment certificates, salary increases, labor actions.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
Academic
Third-level degree in Administration, Accounting, and Auditing or related fields.
Proficiency in Office utilities.
Experience
At least 2-3 years of experience in similar positions.
Additional Required Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of labor, tax, and Social Security laws.
Accounting skills.
Basic spoken and written English.
