ROLE PROPOSAL:

Be responsible for the procurement of assigned goods and services, following established Lundin Gold policies and procedures. Ensure the most efficient quality, price, and delivery, while optimizing purchasing effectiveness, cost savings, and the total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities:

A. Procure assigned goods and services in accordance with established Lundin Gold policies and procedures.

Process requisitions for goods and services according to the required priorities and dates.
Contact users/requestors to obtain additional specifications, when necessary.
Negotiate purchasing terms with suppliers and obtain the best terms of quality, price, delivery, and payment.
Ensure that the budgeted and estimated values ​​of approved requisitions match; otherwise, obtain the relevant approvals from management.
Analyze/evaluate received bids and, when necessary, generate an online bid summary, providing recommendations on alternative or substitute goods and services (competitive quality, price, delivery, etc.).
Report to the Purchasing Superintendent information on potential problems observed in the national/international market.
Ensure the purchasing process is completed before generating purchase orders (bid, selection of qualified suppliers, request for proposal, letter of recommendation (LOR), contract, notification letters, status of payment (SOP), etc.).

B. Maintain knowledge of legal/tax aspects, supply chain policy, and the computerized purchasing control system.

Remain aware of the latest regulations regarding legal and tax aspects between suppliers and buyers.
Remain up-to-date with purchasing procedures and the latest developments in the IT purchasing control system.
Assist in providing purchasing recommendations and alternatives.

C. Issue Purchase Orders to cover the contracted Goods and Services and dispatch them accordingly.

D. Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.

E. Perform any special duties requested by the Purchasing Superintendent.

F. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

G. Comply with Lundin Gold's environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

1. Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as economics, engineering, business administration, or supply chain management.

Experience

At least 3-5 years of experience in purchasing goods and services in the mining, industrial, or oil and gas sectors.
Experience working with national and international suppliers.
Good judgment and judgment in determining purchasing options and alternatives.
