SUPERVISES

JOB PURPOSE

Advise, evaluate, control, verify, and supervise compliance with the Environmental Management Plan measures, obligations and commitments acquired in environmental permits, obligations stipulated in environmental regulations, policies, environmental standards, and the Environmental Management System maintained by the Company for its operations, through the use of planning, communication, and monitoring tools in order to maintain the Company's Environmental Management System.

FUNTIONS

  • Ensure and demonstrate compliance with Environmental Impact Studies, Environmental Management Plans, national regulations, and other commitments assumed by the Company.

  • Provide environmental support for the development and compliance of Environmental Management Plan(s) (EMPs) and applicable environmental legislation in various operational areas and work fronts through environmental inspections, to guarantee environmental protection during Fruta del Norte operations.

  • Provide technical support and on-site advice to Lundin Gold and Contractor personnel for compliance with EMP measures, current legislation requirements, Corporate Environmental Standards, Environmental Objectives, and the FDN Environmental Management System.

  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, as required by environmental regulations and permits.

  • Update and monitor the planning of activities within the FDN Environmental Management System.

  • Support documentation management of EMPs, Corporate Standards, Environmental Indicators, Environmental Objectives, and the FDN Environmental Management System.

  • Train Company and Contractor personnel on environmental matters and the Environmental Management System at different work fronts to promote environmental culture in operations.

  • Actively participate in identifying environmental risks in Fruta del Norte operations.

  • Provide support during the occurrence of environmental incidents at Fruta del Norte.

  • Lead the implementation of specific environmental management assignments designated by superiors.

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Comply with and enforce the provisions of the Company's Internal Health and Safety Regulations and work procedures.
  • Organize and plan compliance with the Health and Safety Management System with their staff.
  • Interact with employees to help them manage their safety observations.
  • Implement the controls identified in the risk matrices and follow up on their updates.
  • Participate in the investigation of incidents occurring in their areas of responsibility, in accordance with the Company's internal procedures.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Strengthen the organization’s culture of environmental responsibility by complying with the guidelines of the Integrated Management System and ensuring that all activities related to the role are carried out under criteria of sustainability, fulfillment of commitments, pollution prevention, and environmental protection. Likewise, use resources efficiently and promptly report any deviation, incident, or situation that may affect environmental performance.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

2-3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in environmental management activities related to the mining sector (exploitation, exploration), oil, gas, industrial sectors; environmental management activities in construction or related industries.

  • Experience in implementation and monitoring of Environmental Management Plans (desirable) and environmental management in extractive industry.

KNOWLEDGE

Monitoring and compliance with sustainable mining regulations.
Knowledge in development and implementation of sustainable strategies.
Knowledge of mining sector rules and regulations.
Knowledge of sustainability and environmental risk management.
Intermediate level of English.

LICENSES

Type B License: Allows driving cars and trucks with trailers of up to 1.75 tons of payload.
