Job Purpose:
The Mine Development Coordinator is responsible for directing underground development activities during their respective shift. They lead the mining teams responsible for developing ramps, levels, and access points in a way that fosters individual accountability within clearly established parameters to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with provincial safety and environmental legislation, company regulations, policies and procedures, and best management practices.
Functions:
1. Manage mine operations to ensure compliance with mine development plans (measuring advance meters and controlling drift sections and quality of advances).
2. Manage the activities of the personnel under their supervision and provide guidance to ensure compliance with daily development metrics.
3. Ensure compliance with operational procedures, promoting teamwork and providing instructions to achieve the goal of safe work and zero incidents.
4. Manage resources and minimize waste generation to meet the mine's operating budget.
5. Adhere to the planning and scheduling of mining operations to achieve the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals established by the company.
6. Work collaboratively with support areas, technical services, maintenance, safety, and environmental departments to achieve the plan's objectives.
7. Participate in underground emergency management to support the efficient resolution of such situations.
8. Resolve labor relations issues promptly and impartially, in conjunction with Human Resources.
9. Lead and develop subordinates to add value to the company and ensure that mining personnel receive adequate training.

11. Ensure that personnel under your supervision have all the training required for their job or reassignments (training, certifications, and certifications).
Minimum Required Profile:
Academic background in fields such as Mining Engineering
Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in similar positions in underground mine development.
Specific Required Knowledge:
Must have knowledge and experience with internal underground mining methods and procedures.
WORK LOCATION: Fruta del Norte, Zamora Chinchipe, Lundin Gold Ecuador. Availability to work shifts at the camp.
