Position Purpose:
Lead the mechanical maintenance team to provide operational capacity for production by safely executing maintenance controls and work, improving practices, and adhering to the maintenance plan.
Duties:
Administration and Leadership
• Perform field tasks specific to your area with the assigned team in all weather conditions, ensuring personal safety while maintaining control of the work, complementing your superiors in the control and coordination of activities.
• Distributes and supervises the work of your staff.
• Establishes work schedules to be followed.
• Issues orders and instructs the team on how to perform assigned tasks.
• Closes work orders in the ERP system, verifying that the events associated with the equipment are correctly completed.
• Inspects the progress, quality, and quantity of the work performed, ensuring that the work is carried out with 100% quality and safety.
• Inspects buildings and their surroundings to ensure their cleanliness and general maintenance.
• Inspects the good condition of tools and verifies compliance with the assigned colors per month, discarding homemade tools.
• Completes request forms for materials and equipment.
• Monitors the attendance of personnel under their supervision.
• Estimates the time and materials required for minor works assigned to their work group and maintains control over them.
• Keeps records of time and materials used on the jobs.
• Prepares detailed reports on the work performed, materials used, and problems encountered, and submits them to their immediate superior.
• Handles requests and complaints regarding cleaning and general maintenance and issues the corresponding orders for their resolution.
• Ensures the proper use and maintenance of the equipment, tools, and other assets assigned to the unit under their supervision.
• Reports any new developments to their immediate superior.
• Complies with the organization's comprehensive safety standards and procedures.
• Maintains equipment and worksite in order, reporting any anomalies.
• Prepares periodic reports on activities performed.
• Verifies the availability of spare parts and consumables required for the work to be performed in the warehouse.
• Ensures the safety and integrity of the employee and their colleagues.
• Review and verify the execution of operating procedures before performing activities and maintenance, especially high-risk tasks.
• Respects the Golden Rules of Lundin Gold.
• Leads by example and actively participates in and promotes the company's health, safety, and sustainability initiatives.
• Comply with and enforces company policies and ensures that activities are carried out safely and with environmental care for people and equipment.
• Conducts ALSC, participates in Leadership Observations, participates in Safety Inspections, raises safety deviations with HS, and generally fulfills all safety commitments.

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Comply with and enforce the provisions of the Internal Health and Safety Regulations and the Company's work procedures.
Organize and plan compliance with the Health and Safety Management System with staff under their supervision.
Interact with workers to help them manage their safety observations.
Implement the controls identified in the risk matrices and follow up on their updates.
Participate in the investigation of incidents occurring in their areas of responsibility, in accordance with the Company's internal procedures.
Participate in the controls and review of IPERC and procedures.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Academic:
Qualified and registered mechanical, electromechanical, or mechatronic engineer.
Preferably with courses and training appropriate to the position.

Experience:
5 years of professional experience.
