HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC 2- MECANICO(A) DE MAQUINARIA PESADA 2

Position Purpose:
Operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.
Duties:
• Rapid corrections/adjustments of technical problems that occur during production.
• Collaborate with mechanics and other team members when addressing major issues.
• Provide support for production continuity.
• Diagnose the source of electrical faults and repair them on mobile equipment.
• Conduct equipment investigations when problems occur.
• Perform repairs on electrical components and replace defective electrical and electronic parts.
• Preventive maintenance on all electrical and electronic components of mobile equipment.
• Installation of new electrical components.
• Design and improve new electrical circuits on equipment.
• Disseminate knowledge and experience to coworkers.
• Identify maintenance issues and request work orders from supervisors (if applicable).
• Participate in root cause analysis.
• Must apply and follow good health and safety practices.

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:
• Employees must comply with national health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures, and the company's environmental compliance policy. Employees will perform other duties as directed and required by the company to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, long sleeves, and any other equipment to perform tasks safely, as determined by the Health and Safety plan.
• Must operate a light vehicle to conduct pre-operational inspections, accessing various locations in the underground mine for inspection, planning, and work supervision.
• Must walk on rough, uneven, and wet terrain and climb ladders.
• Must use personal protective equipment, such as respirators in dusty environments and fall protection equipment when accessing equipment or performing work at heights.

Minimum Required Profile:
Academic:
• A postgraduate degree or technology degree in electromechanical, electrical, or related fields.
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electromechanical/Automotive Electrician.
Specific Required Knowledge:
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and information.
• Knowledge of low-voltage DC and AC electricity.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and plans.
• Skills in manual labor and electrical component repair.
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
Languages:
English: Basic – Intermediate (Desirable).
Spanish: Native.
