JOB PURPOSE
Lead the planning, execution, and implementation of capital projects (CAPEX) and operational improvements (OPEX) to maximize the availability of critical assets and optimize production processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, budgets, and deadlines, in accordance with the Yamana Maintenance Management System (SGMY) guidelines and Value Driver Tree (VDT) analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic and Financial Management (Value Driver Focus): Evaluate and prioritize projects based on their impact on value drivers: Availability, Feed Rate (TPH), and Overall Recovery.
Evaluate and prioritize projects associated with the plans for:
5500TPD.
Reliability / Critical A1.
Crusher - Bypass.
Evaluate and prioritize projects required by operations.
Evaluate and prioritize Operational Excellence projects.
Conduct economic feasibility analyses using profitability indicators (NPV, ROI, Payback).
Control the project budget, managing variances and optimizing resource utilization.
Engineering and Technical Planning:
Develop detailed schedules in MS Project or Primavera P6, identifying the critical path to avoid interference with daily production.
Manage plan priorities with the technical office team when scheduling activities, resources, and materials.
Integrate maintainability and reliability criteria into designs, ensuring that new assets minimize life cycle costs (LCC).
Lead root cause analyses (MASP / 5 Whys) to propose redesigns for equipment with recurring failures.
3. Execution and Contractor Management:
Supervise the quality of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installations on-site.
Manage external service contracts, ensuring compliance with performance and safety KPIs.
Ensure that all technical and cost information is correctly entered into the ERP system (SAP) to maintain global data standardization.
EDUCATION
Completed university degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years in project management in the mining sector or industrial plants.
SKILLS
Project Management using PMI methodology.
Asset Management (ISO 55000).
Knowledge of plant equipment (mills, flotation cells, gravity concentrators).
Use of SAP ERP (Maintenance/Projects module).
Languages: Technical English (Preferred).
