Purpose of the Role:
Develop, implement, and execute a predictive maintenance plan through condition monitoring (vibrations, thermography, visual inspection, oil analysis, etc.) to ensure the implementation of the concept for plant equipment.
Functions:
• Plan and execute activities in the predictive maintenance plan (vibrations, thermography, visual inspections, thickness measurements, oil analysis, etc.).
• Prepare reports on results, analysis, and conclusions from measurements.
• Anticipate catastrophic failure, take actions to prevent it, and execute corrective actions during planned maintenance.
• Interact with the planner and the reliability area, providing periodic observations for the preparation of the weekly preventive maintenance plan.
• Advise the Maintenance department on future or present risks related to equipment conditions.
• Request recertification services in a timely manner.
• Monitor the condition of the tools used.
• Find results to be used as key performance indicators, allowing us to anticipate catastrophic failure.
Minimum requirements:
Academic background
Mechanical, electromechanical, or industrial engineer
Experience
2 to 3 years in mining or oil & gas projects, construction, or related fields, of which at least 2 years must have been in the area of planning/technical maintenance office/reliability.
Specific knowledge required:
• Condition monitoring and maintenance management.
• Knowledge of vibration monitoring equipment software, thickness measurement equipment, oil particle measurement equipment, gas measurement equipment, thermography equipment (desirable).
• Knowledge of penetrant testing and tribology.
• Computing (Software and Applications): SAP (desirable). Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
