INGENIERO(A) SENIOR DE CONTROL DE CALIDAD-QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure that engineering, construction, and commissioning projects comply with contractual requirements, technical specifications, corporate standards, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements through the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of quality assurance and quality control systems throughout the project lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify the Contractor’s implementation and administration of the project’s Quality Plan and applicable QA/QC procedures.
Verify compliance with technical specifications, corporate standards, international codes, and contractual requirements.
Review and approve inspection procedures, testing procedures, FAT and SAT protocols, and quality documentation.
Coordinate inspections of the manufacturing, assembly, installation, and testing of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Supervise the execution of inspections and tests performed by contractors and specialized third parties.
Manage the system for nonconformities, corrective and preventive actions, and follow-up to ensure closure.
Verify the traceability of materials, equipment, quality certificates, and technical documentation.
Participate in internal and external quality-related audits, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Develop QA/QC performance indicators and periodic reports for project management.
Conduct field inspections during construction, assembly, and commissioning activities.
Ensure the proper preparation and delivery of quality dossiers and project closure documentation.
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement among contractors, supervisors, and project teams.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in CIVIL, ELECTRICAL, or MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years of experience in QA/QC work on projects

CERTIFICATIONS

Preferably as an internal management system auditor, in welding, ACI, or NDT

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
Preparation and review of ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans).
Management of NCRs, punch lists, and quality dossiers.
Knowledge of ASTM, ASME, ANSI, AWS, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings.
FAT and SAT acceptance testing and commissioning.
Microsoft Office.
Preparation of technical reports and trend analyses.
Document management and quality record control.
Intermediate English.
