JOB PURPOSE
Maximize the human reliability of the process plant through the development, certification, and sustainment of the technical competencies of operations and maintenance personnel, aligned with the ISO 55000 standard and World-Class Maintenance standards, ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of critical assets.
FUNTIONS

Manage and keep the Technical Competency Matrix up to date, defined based on asset criticality, ensuring the team has the required skills for assigned tasks.

Design and implement technical training programs focused on World-Class Maintenance (WCM), including RCM, precision lubrication, failure analysis, and operational best practices.

Coordinate and validate field skills certification, including handover (“shift handover”) processes and technical sufficiency validation for critical equipment such as mills, crushers, and associated systems.

Assess training effectiveness through operational performance indicators, reduction of failures associated with human error, and improvements in asset reliability.

Manage knowledge transfer with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), coordinating specialized training for new technologies, modifications, or asset upgrades.

Analyze performance gaps based on maintenance KPIs (rework, operational failures, recurring incidents) and design corrective training interventions.

Manage the technical training budget and available training resources, such as simulators, technical mock-ups, and specialized instructional materials.

Ensure all personnel hold the required occupational health and safety accreditations to work on assets, in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Supervise and coordinate the work of internal technical instructors and external training consultants.
EDUCATION
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
5–7 years of experience in mining/industrial maintenance, with proven experience in technical training.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years in similar roles.
KNOWLEDGE
CERTIFICATIONS

Proficiency in SAP, MS Project, and instructional design tools.

CMRP certification (desirable).

Training in ISO 55000 asset management.
