LIDER DE PROYECTO-PROJECT LEAD

JOB PURPOSE
Oversee and monitor the execution of field activities for the various projects in the Surface Operations CAPEX project portfolio, effectively managing personnel, procedures, and financial and logistical resources, among others, in order to ensure efficiency and the achievement of project and departmental objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Supervise interdisciplinary projects during the engineering and construction phases.
•    Participate in the comprehensive planning and management of projects, involving project stakeholders.
•    Manage contracts, scope, schedules, and costs for construction projects.
•    Review and validate design documents prepared by consulting firms.
•    Supervise construction work.
•    Prepare technical documents necessary for the bidding process for engineering and construction projects.
•    Review the technical and financial proposals submitted by bidders in the bidding process (analysis of unit prices, yields, logical sequence of schedules, and work plans).
•    Update monthly Capex expenditure projections for assigned projects.
•    In collaboration with the cost control department, review monthly costs incurred and budgeted expenditure projections allocated to projects.
•    Ensure that the projects under your responsibility are carried out in accordance with the scope, schedule, and quality requirements and remain within the approved budget.
•    Verify the project’s constructability during the engineering phase and before construction begins, identifying risks and opportunities in its development and seeking ways to optimize it.
•    Manage the execution of activities and resources in a rational manner for each of the projects under your responsibility.
•    You must identify the KPIs necessary for managing your assigned project.
•    You will authorize modifications, additional work, and any changes necessary to ensure the smooth execution of your projects, taking responsibility for them in coordination with and with the authorization of the Project Manager.
•    Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections at the various work sites.
•    Verify and process payment schedules, evaluating project progress, deadlines, and costs in direct coordination with the Project Control department.
•    Be responsible for coordinating the preparation of the project closure dossier, ensuring that it is received and approved by the project’s end client.
•    Issue the final project completion document, which must include a general summary of the work performed, lessons learned, and recommendations.
•    Systematically supervise the processes and activities assigned to the job or operation, comply with policies, procedures, techniques, and quality standards, and report any identified deficiencies to the Surface Operations department.
•    Promptly report to your supervisor any identified institutional, economic, commercial, labor, environmental, and occupational safety risks.
•    Define the general scope for preparing the AFE, developing the necessary supporting documentation for project funding requests.
•    Review the overall construction plan and specific safety plans, authorizing the start of construction and ensuring a safe, accident-free work environment throughout the execution of projects.
•    Conduct scheduled work inspections and on-site safety meetings.
•    Ensure that the staff under your supervision complies with the environmental policy and actively participates in the Company’s initiatives.
•    Manage the change control process throughout the project’s development.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in CIVIL, ELECTRICAL, or MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years of experience in project management

CERTIFICATIONS
Preferably in construction safety

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, PDF readers/editors, and MS Project.
Intermediate knowledge of written and spoken English.
Valid driver’s license.
