MECANICO(A) SENIOR DE MAQUINARIA PESADA - SENIOR HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC

Purpose of the position:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Senior Heavy Duty Mechanic will perform the various tasks and responsibilities required by the Maintenance Supervisor to properly maintain and repair the variety of equipment at the operation site.
Duties:
1.    Comply with all company health and safety procedures.
2.    Provide preventive and corrective maintenance to equipment involved in mining operations, complying with safety and environmental standards.
3.    Perform all maintenance tasks at the operation site (inside the mine, quarry, etc.).
4.    Carry out all necessary inspections on plants and equipment.
5.    Work with local mechanics, manage them, and share your knowledge with them.
6.    Participate in all required training provided by the company.
7.    Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses involving your crew, and take corrective action for immediate, long-term, and permanent remediation.
8.    Report any equipment repair needs, material requirements, and any other maintenance requirements to keep production running.
9.    Work with Supervisors to compile tool lists and material and spare parts requirements.
10.    Provide assistance to production crews in required inspections.
11.    Ensure that the department complies with Ecuadorian government requirements, environmental, health, and safety legislation, and company standards.

Minimum Required Profile:
Academic
Mechanical Technology.
Mechanical Engineering (Desirable)
Experience
3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR POSITIONS
Additional Skills and Qualities
Ability to work for extended periods without compromising safety. External Ability to work at heights and in extreme and varied weather conditions, as well as underground and on night shifts. External Ability to perform internal stops (procedures)
