Purpose of the position:
To carry out planned, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs for the processing plant. To use the resources assigned to carry out the work in an appropriate, rational, safe, and environmentally friendly manner.
Duties:
Generate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance reports for failure analysis.
Participate in reliability meetings to improve maintenance plans.
Use resources (materials, tools, consumables) to carry out mechanical maintenance activities.
Close maintenance activities completed 100%, recording in the work order the types of failures associated with the equipment, the actual man-hours spent on each work order, the materials, spare parts, and consumables used, noting any additional relevant observations in the work order.
Coordinates with your supervisor and proposes action plans or improvements to be developed in your area. 
Execute the weekly maintenance program. 

Work with the correct resources assigned for maintenance activities.
Close completed activities, take note of observations from work orders, and evaluate corrective plans in coordination with supervision. 
Provide sufficient information for maintenance execution in order to reduce time losses and non-productive time.
Disassemble and assemble equipment components and parts (bearings, gears, crown wheel, pinion, shafts, seals, gaskets, lubrication pump, etc.), taking care not to damage sensitive elements and following the sequence indicated in the instructions, service manuals, and/or work formats established by the company. 
Performs maintenance activities according to the manufacturers' technical recommendations and using the maintenance techniques related to the activity.
Cleans the equipment, using appropriate supplies, according to the instructions, maintenance guidelines, and/or work formats established by the company.
Visually checks the equipment parts to determine obvious wear, looseness, cracks, and internal scratches. 
Records and reports to supervision the repair level of damaged parts (pulleys, belts, gears, chains, sprockets, seals, shafts, sensors, bushings, bearings, and rotors) according to company procedure. 

Repairs or replaces equipment components, according to maintenance standards, manufacturer specifications, and/or work instructions, complying with company standards. 
Assembles and disassembles equipment, using the appropriate tools and equipment, in accordance with established procedures, instructions, and/or work formats.
Lubricate equipment in accordance with instructions, maintenance guidelines, and/or the manufacturer's manual, verifying that the viscosity grade corresponds to the equipment's requirements. 
Verify dimensions, adjustments, tolerances, couplings, tightness, and lubrication status in accordance with manufacturer specifications, maintenance guidelines, instructions, and/or work formats established by the company. 

Perform pre-operational tests, regulating and calibrating equipment operating parameters, verifying that the level of repairs complies with work standards, in accordance with manufacturer specifications, maintenance guidelines, and/or work instructions.
Able to identify unsafe conditions in assigned tasks, implement risk controls, and communicate with immediate supervisor.
Review work procedures under the concept of quality and safety.
Use 100% of available resources for maintenance work.
Use 100% of material resources (spare parts and consumables) for the execution of maintenance work.

Develop the role of technical inspector (ITO) for work teams in the development of preventive maintenance activities on critical line equipment.
Evaluate the scope of work orders (OT) in terms of the quality of the information provided in order to carry out work with total quality.
Cooperate with supervisors, coordinators, and planners in scheduling and organizing tasks three weeks in advance and collaborate in the selection of necessary spare parts.

Minimum requirements:
Academic qualifications:
Degree in Industrial Mechanics or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in maintenance activities in the mining, oil, cement, or industrial sector.

Additional Skills and Qualities
Specific knowledge required
Alignment and leveling of rotating and static equipment.
Experience with digital instrumentation equipment.
Knowledge of metrology and calibration of components: micrometers, interior and exterior, goniometers.
