Purpose of the position:
To provide support to mining operations, performing prevention, care, treatment, referral, and follow-up functions for patients with general morbidity and urgent/emergency conditions, with the aim of ensuring adequate care while always complying with current regulations.
Duties:
1.    Provide general and urgent/emergency medical care to employees (care, stabilization, evacuation, follow-up, and rehabilitation) as needed.
2.    Standardize and share emergency management protocols with healthcare personnel.
3.    Participate in health surveillance programs in coordination with the occupational physician.
4.    Conduct inspections and maintain on-site emergency areas (trauma room, medical offices, ambulances).
5.    Conduct health inspections in the field and determine potential risks.
6.    Identify problems in the health status of workers upon admission to the organization and during their tenure with the company. In addition, provide follow-up on illnesses.
7.    Administrative activities related to general medicine.
8.    Reports in accordance with internal and external regulations.
9.    Track staff absenteeism in coordination with the occupational physician.
10.    Manage Work Reintegration programs in coordination with the Occupational Physician. 
11.    Develop and implement General Health programs, procedures, protocols, instructions, formats, etc. 
12.    Monitor and verify compliance with general health programs according to the needs of the area.
13.    Perform medical analysis prior to high-risk work.
14.    Make recommendations for the continuous improvement of the medical process.
15.    Coordinate activities with other areas for the benefit of staff health.
16.    Other activities assigned by the occupational physician.

Minimum Required Profile:
Academic

• Completed studies as a General Practitioner (Degree registered with Senescyt)
• Formal certified training in ATLS/PHTLS/ITLS and ACLS
Experience

• 2 years' experience in an emergency room, intensive care unit, or pre-hospital/ambulance service
• Experience in remote camps. Desirable
