METALURGISTA - METALLURGIST

Date: Sep 30, 2025

Location: ECUADOR, ECUADOR, ECUADOR, ECUADOR

Company: AURELIAN ECUADOR

Role Proposition:

Conduct metallurgical research in the laboratory and during plant operations to obtain information to generate business value. Optimize and control the metallurgical parameters of the process, maximizing the efficiency of the production sector through the human resources under supervision. Develop new technologies and/or methodologies for practical application through the results obtained in the laboratory and/or simulations. Likewise, the candidate will perform the necessary metallurgical tests to continuously optimize any point in the production process.

Duties:

• Perform daily tasks in the metallurgical laboratory.

• Plan and execute sampling of all process circuits.

• Perform sampling and sample preparation.

• Monitor and analyze the operating results of the process plant.

• Perform process simulations at the laboratory, pilot, and industrial levels.

• Monitor metallurgical tests at the plant.

•Planning and monitoring the consumption of steel, reagents, and other process inputs.

•Training personnel on a single load.

•Inspecting and calibrating online analyzers.

•Preparing daily plant production reports.

•Generating metallurgical balances for the plant's processes to determine yields (recoveries, reagents, tonnages).

•Preparing information on the results of Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to facilitate process performance and the results obtained.

Minimum Required Academic Profile

University degree in Chemical Engineering or Mining Engineering.

Experience

3 to 5 years of professional experience in metallurgical laboratories or in the field of metallurgy in mineral processing plants.

Handling metallurgical simulators, SAP, interfaces, and control systems is desirable.

Knowledge of Molycop, JKSimMet, and GoldSim tools is desirable.
