Role Purpose:
The paramedic is responsible for providing response, comprehensive prehospital care, and transport for medical emergencies arising at remote work sites, adhering to applicable legislation and professional association guidelines.
Functions:
Provide prehospital care services to all employees.
Support health and wellness programs that promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Attend to prehospital medical emergencies at remote sites.
Ensure the safe and competent care and transport of patients.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, in accordance with established protocols.
Accompany patients during transfers for secondary care, providing basic or advanced life support.
Respect employee confidentiality, ensuring that their health information remains confidential. Ensure the department complies with government requirements, Fruta del Norte agencies, and company stakeholders regarding environmental, health, legal, and safety regulations.

Provide pre-hospital support to operations.
Provide training to company personnel and others as needed on occupational health and emergency topics.
Support health prevention campaigns in conjunction with the company's Medical Service.
Inspect and maintain health equipment and supplies.
Minimum Required Profile:
Academic:
Bachelor's degree in emergency medicine, pre-hospital care, or related field.
Knowledge of industrial safety.
Possess the appropriate certification and training to work as a paramedic.
Certifications: PHTLS, BLS, ACLS, and AMLS.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in intensive/critical care with a public ambulance service and in the high-risk industry or mining sector. Extensive practical knowledge of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) protocols, policies, and procedures.
WORK LOCATION: Fruta del Norte, Zamora Chinchipe, Lundin Gold Ecuador. Availability to work 14x14 shifts.
