Position Purpose:
Plan and implement project management guidelines for the design and construction of the TSF (Tailings Storage Facilities) expansions and their complementary infrastructure, coordinating the tailings dam expansions with interdependent areas.
Ensure the development of studies and designs for future tailings dam expansions in order to meet the time requirements of tailings projects related to the company's long-term plans.
Execute TSF projects, including the preparation and analysis of bid packages, and subsequent Contractor administration, with a specific focus on TSF execution.
Lead the necessary studies for the LOM (Life of Mine), in its various stages, considering all necessary areas in the studies in accordance with Lundin Gold standards, which includes the geotechnical analysis and monitoring of the operation's facilities with a special focus on the TSF. ".

Functions:
1. RTF -
2. Review investor comments regarding the TSF and propose the necessary roadmap strategy.
3. Oversee the interactive development of the final design plans and documentation for the TSF facilities.
4. Propose necessary services, studies, and projects to the Management Department (scope, budget, and schedule).
5. Prepare monthly management reports based on the interpretation of TSF construction and monitoring information.
6. Inspect and monitor the TSF, as well as coordinate reviews by independent international specialists (Peer Review Team).
7. Review the necessary considerations in the capital and operating estimates (Capex and Opex) of the projects considered in the TSF.
8. Conduct dam safety reviews in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and standards.
9. Liaise with contractors for the safe, effective, and efficient execution of project construction. Likewise, ensure proper conduct and  Appropriate staff behavior to promote an appropriate safety culture on the project.
10. Identify potential problems and recommend solutions to area management.
11. Work closely with Senior Construction and QA Coordinators ensuring facility deliveries on time, cost and quality.
12. Monitor project change control procedures, reporting impacts on cost and time to area management.
13. Coordinate the development of systems and subsystem delivery packages for internal customer acceptance.
14. Participate in project risk assessment meetings to coordinate efforts to minimize or eliminate identified risks.
15. Prepare reports and/or presentations about the progress of the project development and also about the potential problems and solutions identified.
16. Monitor the Construction Execution Plan (i.e. equipment plan, allocation of labor and other resources, sequence of activities, work methodology, etc.)
17. Review and evaluate the scope of work for the construction of associated works, participating in contract evaluations.
18. Supervises and monitors compliance with the execution schedule and costs. Takes corrective measures to ensure compliance with the schedule and costs.
19. Contributes to the Construction Execution Plan. Provides input to the integrated, coordinated strategy to ensure construction meets or exceeds the milestones of the critical schedule path.
20. Ensures compliance with all environmental guidelines.
21. Supports the contracts area with the assigned bidding processes.
22. Review suppliers' proposals regarding contractual changes (scope, budget, and schedule).

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety System to identify aspects and impacts related to their activities and seek opportunities for improvement in the company's occupational health management. Promote a Safety Culture in all activities.
Knowledge, compliance, and application of the company's internal policies, procedures, and regulations.
Monitor compliance with Ecuadorian legislation regarding occupational health within the operation, including Lundin Gold personnel, contractors, and visitors.
Be responsible for compliance with the Environmental Management System.
Participate in Environmental Management System training courses.
Participate in the fulfillment of the environmental objectives and goals of the area and the company.
Aware of the environmental risks that have been identified in their area and familiarize themselves with the operational controls.

Minimum Required Profile:
Academic
• Professional Civil Engineer
• Master's Degree in Geotechnics – required.
Experience
• 15 or more years of professional experience, including at least 7 years in TSF management: construction, quality assurance, monitoring, and design review of the TSF. Experience in the mining industry.
Additional Skills and Qualities
• Knowledge of norms and standards of international tailings management regulations, GISTM (required). Knowledge of the guidelines.
• Expertise in preparing reports and presentations.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project desirable. "
Languages:

English (Intermediate Level).
Driving Licenses:
Driver's License, light equipment.
