SUPERVISOR(A) DE SEGURIDAD INDUSTRIAL - SAFETY SUPERVISOR

POSITION PURPOSE

To execute directives issued by the H&S Superintendency and provide operational oversight of the work performed by H&S Coordinators, ensuring strict compliance with national and international regulations, as well as the company’s internal standards, procedures, plans, and programs regarding occupational health and safety in the mining sector.

FUNCTIONS:
Organize, coordinate, and supervise the execution of administrative and field activities carried out by H&S Coordinators.
Organize, coordinate, and supervise the implementation of the training and capacity-building program regarding occupational health and industrial safety.
Coordinate and supervise the implementation of "Visible Leadership" program directives within their area of ​​responsibility.
Organize, coordinate, and supervise the execution of activities associated with the Critical Risk Control Program (Go/No-Go). Plan, organize, and execute occupational health and industrial safety prevention and awareness campaigns in accordance with the annual plan.
Provide support to H&S Coordinators during accident and incident investigation processes when required.
Prepare technical-legal reports required by regulatory bodies regarding occupational health and industrial safety management.
Develop and update standards, manuals, regulations, guidelines, procedures, instructions, and other H&S tools for review by the H&S Superintendent and approval by H&S Management.
Evaluate contractors regarding their industrial safety and occupational health performance.
Review documentation required from contractors prior to their entry into operations.
Lead monthly H&S meetings with contractor representatives.
Oversee the operational functioning of the Occupational Health and Industrial Safety Management System.
Verify compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding occupational health and industrial safety.
Provide technical advice on the formation of joint safety committees.
Update and oversee compliance with the H&S inspection program within the area of ​​responsibility.
Update and oversee the management of VLP/ARO reports submitted by H&S coordinators within their areas of responsibility.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
EDUCATION: Completed university studies in Industrial Engineering or Environmental Engineering.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 8 or more years of experience.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
Specific experience in mining safety: minimum 5 years.
Total experience in industrial safety and occupational health: minimum 10 years.
KNOWLEDGE:
Application of local and international safety regulations.
Knowledge of safety standards and local/international regulations.
Intermediate level of English.
