JOB PURPOSE
The Electrician 1 is responsible for creating, installing, replacing, and repairing electrical extensions for mine equipment, workshop electrical installations, outlets, distribution panels, coaxial cables, lighting devices, and other components of mining operations.
FUNTIONS
-
Maintain and keep records and inventories of electrical workshop equipment and tools.

Ensure inspection of each electrician’s tools in the mine.

Keep lifting and handling equipment in operational condition, control its use, verify, and perform periodic inspections.

Maintain, along with the workshop electrician, the cleanliness and order of the electrical workshop (both surface and underground).

Control and maintain updated the inventory and usage of cables in the mine.

Follow defined procedures and related documentation (e.g., AST, 5 POINTS, GO/NO GO, etc.).

Report any safety event within a maximum of 4 hours from its occurrence.

Maintain a proactive attitude towards safety and continuous improvement.

- Comply with and enforce the provisions of the Company's Internal Health and Safety Regulations and work procedures.
- Apply the company's established risk management tools.
- Report substandard acts and conditions and identify the risks associated with their activities.
- Actively participate in Health and Safety programs and activities.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Strengthen the organization’s culture of environmental responsibility by complying with the guidelines of the Integrated Management System and ensuring that all activities related to the role are carried out under criteria of sustainability, fulfillment of commitments, pollution prevention, and environmental protection. Likewise, use resources efficiently and promptly report any deviation, incident, or situation that may affect environmental performance.

COMPLEMENTARY EDUCATION
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of experience
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

Experience with low-voltage electrical maintenance, submerged pumps, and interpreting electrical diagrams.

Experience in maintenance of fixed electrical networks in various sectors, preferably in mining industries.

Operation of lifting equipment is an advantage.

Ability to work without live voltage and follow safety protocols.

Familiarity with electrical risks and safety standards.
