Purpose of the position:
The Underground Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment associated with underground mining operations. They ensure operational continuity and efficiency by identifying and correcting faults and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, thereby guaranteeing the safety and performance of the equipment.
Duties:
1. Repair, maintain, and install all electrical equipment involved in mining operations.
2. Maintain and ensure order and cleanliness in the workshops and warehouses associated with the electrical workshop.
3. Identify and assess critical risks in the underground mine and related facilities, implementing preventive measures to minimize hazards.
4. Manage inventory, control, and inspection of materials, electrical equipment, and PPE in warehouses linked to the electrical workshop.
5. Perform all maintenance activities according to the route assigned by the supervisor, including repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections of pumping, ventilation, and electrical distribution systems, following defined procedures and work-related documentation (such as AST, 5 POINTS, GO/NO GO, etc.).
6. Continuously report on the work performed, as well as findings related to the need for repair of electrical system equipment, detailing the time and materials required to ensure the reliability of the electrical equipment.
7. Continuously care for and inspect the resources assigned for electrical maintenance tasks (machines, tools, accessories, instruments, and PPE).
8. Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses related to your work environment, following Lundin Gold's Health, Safety, and Environment guidelines.
9. Understand and apply the policies and standards of conduct established by the company.
10. If necessary, operate a telehandler to perform electrical installations in the mine. Applies only to personnel authorized to operate telehandler equipment in accordance with current legislation and internal company processes.

Minimum required profile:
• Completed degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an industrial electrician.
• Essential experience in medium and high voltage work.
• Work experience in heavy machinery maintenance.
• Knowledge of grounding protection devices, components, and operation.
• Knowledge of the irrigation matrix of secondary substations for system intervention.
• Knowledge of normal pumping system operation and system fault identification.
• Knowledge of the main substation risk matrix for system intervention.
• Knowledge of components and operation of the ground protection system in medium-voltage electrical circuits.
• Knowledge of components and operation of the ground protection system in low-voltage electrical circuits.
• Certificate in occupational risk prevention - occupational risk prevention: electrical energy.
• Type B driver's license (essential).
