JOB PURPOSE

To provide technological and analytical support to the Exploration area through the implementation, development and maintenance of technology solutions, data analysis and artificial intelligence, in order to optimize geological decision-making, improve operational efficiency and enhance value generation in exploration projects.

FUNTIONS

1. Data Management and Analysis

Design, implement, and maintain exploration databases (drilling, geochemistry, geology, and logistics operations). Integrate diverse data sources.
Develop automated dashboards and reports for monitoring projects and field operations.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance.

2. Artificial Intelligence Solutions Development
Identify and define AI use cases related to exploration results.
Implement machine learning models applied to exploration and operations.
Automate geological and operational data analysis processes.
Evaluate and implement new AI tools and technologies applicable to mineral exploration.
Develop predictive models to optimize activity planning and execution.
Implement intelligence solutions for various technical and operational areas.

3. Establishing Stakeholder Relationships in Technology
Manage and support systems, software, and hardware used in exploration (geological databases, GIS, modeling software, etc.). Manage field technology infrastructure (connectivity, equipment, local servers).
Coordinate with the corporate IT department to ensure the operation of critical systems.

4. Digital Transformation

Identify digitization opportunities in departmental processes.
Implement automation tools (scripts, workflows).
Train the team in the use of new technologies and analytical tools.

EDUCATION

Completed University Studies en SYSTEMS ENGINEERING o COMPUTER SCIENCE
Completed Master's or Fourth-Level Studies en PROGRAMMING AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT o related careers.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

5 years in similar roles (ideally in mining, energy or geosciences).

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

Experience working with large volumes of data
Desirable experience in complex logistics operations or transportation (helicopter transport, supply chain, etc.)

KNOWLEDGE

Intermediate level of English.
